The Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Hitendradev Shakya, has instructed the electricity offices of Madhesh province to work so as to provide relief to the farmers within a week.
He gave this instruction while discussing at the regional office of Nepal Electricity Authority Janakpurdham.
Farmers have only one month to plant rice, so they have to work quickly and start preparing for it, he said.
'There is not much time to plant rice now . If it is not planted within a month, the paddy will not grow,' he said, 'therefore, all preparations had to be made within a week so as to give relief to the farmers.' He instructed to prepare both technically and financially.
He said to prevent any kind of problem during agricultural electrification, to prevent heaters from burning and also to start preparations regarding transformers . He said to work in coordination with the arrangement of meters, service charges and the municipality.
The authority is ready to send for electrification within a week.
Planting has not been done due to lack of irrigation in Madhesh. After the rain did not fall, the government declared a dry area and asked the federal government for cooperation.
