A teacher who was not contacted for 12 hours was found dead in Saptari on Friday morning. 27-year-old Ramkisun Rai of Dakneshwari Municipality-4 Kushaha of the district was found dead on Thursday evening.
Rai, who has been out of touch since evening, was not found even when the family searched till night. Around 6:30 in the morning, the locals informed the police after they found Rai dead on the side of the Koshi canal in the same toll.
DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet said that after the team of Kalyanpur area police office reached the spot and completed the legal process, further investigation is underway. The deceased Rai was working as a teacher in a local school.
