The driver was killed when a tanker hit a motorcycle near Lachka in Lalbandi Municipality-1 Navalpur of Sarlahi on the East-West highway.

31-year-old Ram Bahadur Syangtan, a resident of Hariwan Municipality-4 Sasapur, was seriously injured when the motorcycle number Ba 87 P 1370 coming from the opposite direction collided with an empty oil tanker No. 1 B 5938 going from Lalbandi to Nawalpur.

The injured Syangtan was given first aid at Model Hospital Lalbandi and sent to Provincial Hospital Malangwa for further treatment. But the doctor said that he died during the treatment. 

The tanker driver involved in the incident, Arvind Mahato, 32 years old resident of Sunsari Ramdhuni Municipality-9, has been detained by the police. The police said that further investigation has been carried out on the accident.
