A group of women escaped carrying the body of a woman from Bishnupur rural municipality-1 Thalhi of Saptari who died suspiciously from the post-mortem house of Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital Rajviraj.

On Friday afternoon, 45-year-old Masuran Khatun reached Nargho in Rajgarh rural municipality-3 of Maiti district.

Khatun, who was working on her father's farm in the afternoon, suddenly fainted and was admitted to Chinmasta Hospital Rajviraj for treatment. When Khatun died during the treatment, the police brought his body to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital for post-mortem. However, a group of women who came shortly after bringing the body to the hospital ran away with the body in front of the police. Dr. Prakash Sah, the medical superintendent of the

hospital, said that the women who came in the group forced themselves into the hospital and ran away with the body from the post-mortem house. "When they started forcing us, we informed the police, but even the police could not stop them," he said.

DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet, the spokesperson of the district police office, said that they are coordinating to bring back the body and conduct the post-mortem. "When the death looked suspicious, we were going to do an autopsy on the body for investigation, but the relatives of the deceased did so without understanding," he said.
