Rautahat Rautahat police arrested two people on charges of drug trafficking on Wednesday night. They were released by the district police on Thursday.
The team of Police Inspector Ramkumar Mahato of Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Birganj and District Police Rautahat arrested 23-year-old Nitesh Kumar Pandit and 32-year-old Pintukumar Yadav of Rajdevi-8 Laxmipur who were riding Indian BR 05U 5860 glamor motorcycle in front of Shubham Hotel located in Gaur Municipality-1, with drugs.
DSP of the District Police Office Deepak Kumar Rai informed that during the suspicious investigation of Nitesh and Pintu, drugs were recovered hidden inside a black plastic bag. According to him, nitrovet, netzecare, diazopam, fenaragan and injections were found with those arrested.
The drugs seized by the police are only available in India. Banned in Nepal. The police said that the investigation of the arrested persons has started. Recently, it has been found that drug trafficking has increased in the border area.
