One person died and two others were injured due to electrocution in an industry located in Nawalpur of Sarlahi on Thursday morning.

Police said that 30-year-old Dinesh Paswan of Rautahat Brindavan Municipality-7 was electrocuted while removing tripal from a truck parked near Lakhandehi Bridge in Nawalpur, Lalbandi Municipality-1.

Na came to get paddy husk from Rautahat. According to the district police office, the incident occurred when the 11,000 volt electric wire was touched on the top of the truck while removing the tripal from the truck number 6 B 7550.

After the accident, Paswan died during treatment as the injured were immediately sent to the Model Hospital in Hariwan. It has been revealed that the deceased Paswan was the co-driver of the truck. 

Similarly, 25-year-old Kundan Paswan and 40-year-old Jageshwar Paswan, who were working on the truck, were electrocuted. The hospital said that both of them were injured in their arms and legs and now their condition is moderate.

The driver of the truck, Parsa, 39-year-old Sheikh Lal Mohammad, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-30, is also involved in the treatment, while the truck is under the control of the local police office Nawalpur.
