Due to the lack of sufficient rainfall, there has been a problem in planting paddy.
Although it has been raining sporadically since Monday night, there has not been enough irrigation to plant paddy . 20/25 farmers reached the rural municipality on Tuesday demanding that the river be dammed due to the problem of planting.
Village chairman Omprakash Mandal said that dams were built on the river in Ward No. 4 Jamuwa Toll and 6 Jagai Toll on Tuesday with the help of JCB assigned by the rural municipality.
'Planting should have been done by now, but due to lack of irrigation, most of the farmers have not been able to plant,' he said. "Canal cleaning is also being done to deliver water to other places", he said.
