The Minister of Health and Population of the Federal Government, Pradeep Paudel, has said that due to the dire situation of kidney disease in Madhesh province, the government has done its homework to establish a kidney treatment service center with specialized services in this province.
Minister Poudel said this while addressing the opening ceremony of the IUI unit, which has expanded services for mammogram and infertility treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birganj on Sunday.
'The government of Nepal is currently providing dialysis treatment services to 13,000 kidney patients, of which 8,500 are returnees from foreign employment,' he said, '4,000 kidney patients are from Madhesh province, for that reason, it has been decided to open a kidney treatment center with specialized services in this province.' He said it was done. He said that preparations are being made to establish the center under the name of 'Durganand Jha Kidney Treatment Centre'.
He has also instructed the hospital administration to operate a cath lab for heart patients in Narayani Hospital.
