The Madhesh State Assembly meeting has been postponed again. The state assembly meeting held on Saturday was adjourned for the sixth day after opposition parties protested.
After the meeting started, Maoist leader Yuvraj Bhattarai protested against the formation of the task force to correct the errors in the budget for the next financial year. He says that the task force has not been formed as promised by Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh. There has been a controversy after the name of Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav was named in the investigation task force. 6 opposition parties have been saying that they will continue the obstruction until the minister's name is removed from the working group.
Speaker Ramchandra Mandal said that the practice of having the minister's name in the working group is new and the practice of forming the working group by keeping the government in the minority is also new. He has resigned from the post of coordinator saying that there is no time for the working group.
The speaker urged the Finance Minister Sunil Kumar Yadav to give his answer directly without discussing the revenue and income expenditure, urging him to let the financial bill be completed and if there was any objection to the appropriation bill. Even after trying to conduct the meeting by encircling the rostrum, the MPs of the opposition party protested. Then the Speaker Mandal adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes . The members of the
task force are Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Chief Whip Ram Ashish Yadav, Maoist MP Jawaharlal Kushwaha, CPN-S Chief Whip Kanish Patel, UML Parliamentary Party Leader and Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav and Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Leader Krishna Yadav.
