A child has died after being crushed by an iron gate in Saptakoshi Municipality-1 Fattepur. Samarjang Katuwal, the 4-year-old son of local Sanjeev Katuwal, was crushed to death by a gate while playing in front of his house on Thursday evening.
Samarjung, who was playing, was seriously injured when a gate suddenly fell on him and was admitted to the local clinic in Fatehpur. He was taken to Birat Teaching Hospital Biratnagar for further treatment and the doctor declared him dead.
DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office said that while the post-mortem of the body is being done, further investigation is being conducted into the incident.
