The new office building of the temporary police post at Lahan Municipality-13 Pakkitol in Siraha has been inaugurated.
Lahan Municipality Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary and Madhesh Province Police Chief DIG Uma Prasad Chaturvedi inaugurated the building on Wednesday.
This building of the police office was built by the locals themselves, with the help of the municipality and various associations. This police post, which is considered to be sensitive from the point of view of security, has 7 policemen under the command of an assistant inspector.
DIG Chaturvedi expressed the belief that the police service will flow more efficiently from the new building. Addressing the program, he said that the police are committed to crime control and peace and security, and the community's support is indispensable.
Mayor Chaudhary of Lahan said that the construction of the police building by the residents of Pakkitol themselves is an exemplary work. He said that since the police is an organization that works round the clock for the safety of the people, it should be loved by everyone.
