The obstruction of the opposition party in the Madhes state assembly meeting continues. In the provincial assembly meeting held on Wednesday, the opposition parties protested that the budget of the next financial year is dominated by the middleman, the Speaker Ramchandra Mandal adjourned the meeting till 1 pm on Thursday.
The meeting called for 1 o'clock on Wednesday (today) could not be held until 3 o'clock, so the meeting was postponed and convened at 3:10 p.m., but the meeting held at around 4:30 a.m. did not proceed. Within four minutes of the start of the meeting, the speaker adjourned the meeting until 1 o'clock on Thursday.
Chief Whip of Janata Samajwadi Party Ram Ashish Yadav said that since the MPs of the ruling party were absent in the state assembly meeting, they were also dissatisfied with this budget.
An all-party meeting was called to conduct the meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was inconclusive. Speaker Ramchandra Mandal proposed to form a working group to investigate the budget, but the government side rejected it.
After the Madhes government presented the budget on June 1, the state assembly meeting has not been conducted since the budget was discussed for about 23 minutes in the meeting held on June 11. Although the meeting has been called four times, the parliamentarians of the opposition party have been blocking it continuously.
