A three-day extension has been extended to the teacher who was arrested for sexually abusing female students studying at Janata Model Secondary School in Choharwa, Golbazar Municipality-7, Siraha.

Siraha District Court on Tuesday extended three days to investigate teacher Hari Shrestha.

The court said that for the first time, the police had asked for seven days for the investigation and gave them three days. Teacher Shrestha is accused of sexually abusing more than 10 minor female students of the school.

The students and parents staged a demonstration and pelted stones at the school on Monday after complaining repeatedly about this matter to the school but not being listened to. Then Shrestha was taken into custody by the police.
