The opposition parties blocked the Madhesh state assembly meeting. The meeting held on Sunday was blocked by MPs of 6 parties including the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).

Jaspa's chief whip Ram Ashish Yadav informed that the meeting was blocked demanding the revision of the budget. He demanded that the budget should be rewritten saying that the people also did not like the government's budget.

It was said that this government was 'hacked' when it brought the first budget. Now, the MPs of the ruling party and the president of the party leading the government are saying that there has been an effect of deviations in the budget," he said. "That's why this budget is completely unreasonable. If it is not rewritten, the House will not be allowed to run.

CPN United Socialist Chief Whip Kanis Patel warned that the House will not be allowed to run unless the budget is rewritten. CPN (Maoist Center) leader Yuvraj Bhattarai also demanded to rewrite the budget.

MPs from Jaspa, Maoist Centre, CPN (S), Civil Immunity, RPP and Nepal Federal Socialist Party blocked the meeting. After the parliamentarians disrupted the meeting, Speaker Ramchandra Mandal adjourned the meeting till 1 pm on Monday.
