One person was seriously injured and all the chickens of the firm were destroyed when a fire broke out in a chicken farm located in Basbaria of Sarlahi on Thursday afternoon.
Mithlesh Sahni, a local 16-year-old worker in the firm, was injured due to an electrical short in the poultry farm run by Ashnarayan Mahato of Basbaria Rural Municipality-3 Kothiar. He is being treated at a private hospital in Barhathwa.
Part of Sahni's face is burnt . His condition is moderate according to the local police office Barhathwa.
According to locals, there were more than three hundred chickens in the firm. The fire was brought under control by the fire apparatus from Hariwan Municipality and the locals.
