The Janmaat Party has expressed its opposition to the federal government's cut in subsidies to sugarcane farmers. The Janmat Party Madhesh Coordination Committee has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh on Wednesday to take necessary steps to continue the subsidies given to sugarcane farmers by the federal government for years.
Under the leadership of Janmat Party Madhesh Pradesh Coordination Committee Chairman Ramsnehi Yadav, submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister Singh, the federal government has mentioned that by cutting the subsidy for sugarcane farmers this year, it has further harassed the farmers who are in trouble.
It is mentioned in the memorandum that the federal government's action to cut subsidies for sugarcane cultivation on a large scale in Madhesh province is discriminatory and anti-farmer. The Janmaat Party has requested the state government to stand in favor of the farmers while urging Chief Minister Singh to take the necessary initiatives with the federal government to continue the subsidy to the sugarcane farmers.
Understanding the memorandum, Chief Minister Singh expressed his commitment to take all possible initiatives for the continuation of sugarcane farmers' subsidy.
