The police have arrested a person from Birganj on charges of being involved in human trafficking and trafficking. The arrested person is 29-year-old Pawan Kumar Sah of Bara Kalaiya sub-metropolitan city-12.
He was arrested by the police at around 12.30 noon on Monday from Birgunj Manpa-15 Bishwa. It is alleged that Sah lured the sisters from India to Birganj to eat and give them money and then performed prostitution in various hotels and lodges and kept the proceeds.
The police immediately rescued the victims after receiving the information. Parsa police spokesman DSP Kishore Lamsal has informed that the Parsa District Court has obtained permission to extend the period of 5 days against him for the crime related to human trafficking and transportation.
