One hundred and 14 drug cases registered in Parsa

There has been an increase in the registration of drug trafficking cases in Parsa. One hundred and fourteen drug-related cases have been registered in the district till June 12 of the current financial year.

It is said that drug smuggling activities have increased due to the fact that 170 km of the district has an open border with neighboring India. Gautam Mishra, police chief of Parsa, informed that 151 people, both local and foreign, have been arrested till June 12 of the current financial year.

'98 Nepalese men and  Six Nepali women have been arrested,' he said, 'in the same period, 45 foreign nationals and two foreign women have also been arrested saying that they were involved in the business.' 

District Police Office Parsa has arrested 1,561 kilos of ganja in the current year. Likewise  Six hundred and 25 kilos of hashish have been recovered.  Similarly, 384 grams of brown heroin and one and a half kilos of opium have been recovered.  Similarly, 1,433 ampoules of Phenargan, 4,499 ampoules of diazepam, and 4,464 ampoules of Nurfin have been seized. Similarly, 289 thousand 274 tablets of tramadol have been seized.
