The farmers of Rajgarh Rural Municipality of Saptari, who are angry that they are not able to plant paddy despite the canal flowing nearby, have started a campaign to bring water from the Western Koshi Canal using JCB.

After about 500 bighas of land remained barren due to lack of irrigation, the JCB started cutting the Western Koshi canal on Monday after collecting donations from the village. Farmers have not yet been able to plant paddy on the land located between the eastern and western Nargho tolls located in Rajgarh Rural Municipality-3.

Although there is deep boring in that land, they have been deprived of irrigation when the water does not come. The angry farmers have cut the western Koshi canal located in Rajgarh Rural Municipality-3 and started bringing water.

Farmers have started cutting the canal under Indian rule by raising a donation of 50/50 rupees for one box. However, the employees of the Western Koshi Canal who reached the same place are requesting that the canal not be cut. He also narrated the pain of having to do all this because the farmers had to plant paddy.
