On the occasion of the 22nd National Rice Day, farmers of Parsa, Bara were trained on climate-friendly agricultural techniques on Sunday. The training was organized by Agricultural Tools Research Center Ranighat Birganj.

In the training, the farmers were trained in the field of the center premises on the technology of threshing and hile threshing under the agricultural mechanization of paddy crops. Dwarika Prasad Chaudhary, the technical officer of the office, gave the training.

He gave on-site practical information to the farmers about the technique of sowing rice seeds without planting in both unirrigated and irrigated fields with drum seeder machine. Sunil Sahni, an engineer from

office, trained the farmers about the need and importance of climate-friendly agricultural technology in the current times. He gave field practical training to the farmers on how to determine the amount of fertilizer and seeds in the seed drill equipment. Prithvi Sah Kanu, the leading farmer of Parsa who participated in the

training, said that it would be beneficial to train farmers on mechanization in the field on the day of Paddy Day, as there is no option for mechanization due to the growing shortage of agricultural workers. He said that it would be very useful to give practical training to farmers in the field rather than in a closed room. The head of the

center, Engineer Sachin Kumar Mishra, said that since the center invents various devices and recommends the technology imported from neighboring countries after testing, it promotes mechanization. Mishra says that in the context of lack of rain and excessive rain due to the impact of climate change for a decade and there is an extreme shortage of agricultural workers, mechanization will benefit the farmers physically, mentally and financially, so mechanization will become a necessity in the coming days. 15 farmers from Parsa and Baraka participated in the

training.
