The third Rath Yatra of the famous Shaktipeeth Gahwamai of Birganj was completed on Friday.
The Rath Yatra organized in the morning by the Gahwamai Pilgrim Area Development Committee started from the Gahwamai temple premises and passed through the railway road from Ghantaghar to Chhapkaiya and came to the Gahwamai temple premises through Adarsh Nagar.
There was a large presence of devout devotees in the Ratha Yatra with bazaagaaza and tableau. Ratha Yatra is held every year on the day of Ashad Shukla Paksha Dwitiya Tithi. Kishore Lamsal, spokesperson of District Police Office Parsa, said that the Rath Yatra was completed in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The
committee is going to hold 56 bhog and bhandara (prasad) distribution programs on June Saturday.
