A team of district police has arrested one person with drugs from BP Chowk, Gaur Municipality-3, Rautahat.
District Police DSP Deepak Kumar Rai informed that the 27-year-old driver Ajay Vick of Chandrapur Municipality-4 was arrested with narcotic drugs when the e-rickshaw No. 1 H 7893 coming from India to Nepal was stopped and checked at BP Chowk. Vick, who was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, was released by the police on Wednesday.
Vick kept the e-rickshaw in a white plastic box with Horlix written on it and was bringing banned drugs Pheneragon injection 110 ampoules, buprenorphine injection 110 ampoules, Serezac diazepam injection 64 ampoules and diazepam injection 46 ampoules were seized, said DSP Rai.
Vick told the police that the goods were sent by the staff of the Gaur-Pokhara bus from Bairagania, India, to bring them to Gaur.
After Vic's statement, the police also arrested the bus staff. His name has not been released. The police said that they are preparing to prosecute the bus staff as well.
The police have seized Vic and his mobile phone. In the incident, Vic said that he was framed by the bus staff. The police said that the incident is being investigated.
