Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh on Monday evening inspected the road section from the dry port of Birganj to Parwanipur.
During this time, the three people who were arrested on the charge of illegally collecting vehicle tax will be charged with indecent behavior. According to Parsa Police spokesperson DSP Kishore Lamsal, those arrested in such incidents are prosecuted in cases of this nature.
Those who were arrested during the surveillance of Chief Minister Singh are 29-year-old Akash Patel of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality-24, 26-year-old Ruplal Sahni of Birgunj-22 and 43-year-old Bharat Prasad Sah of Bara Feta Rural Municipality-4. Three people were immediately arrested when they were deployed on the temporary embankments at different places of the road section from Sukkha Port to Parwanipur.
Chief Minister Singh had conducted a follow-up after the complaints that more than the specified amount was being collected from vehicles imported from India, especially from Indian vehicles.
