How possible is it to earn 9 to 10 lakh rupees by growing 2 crops of potatoes in a 3 bigha field? By doing this, the second potato crop will be fully ready by the end of February or the first week of March. Generally potato crop should be kept in the field for 80 days . Thakur said that although the second crop does not fetch a good price like the first crop immediately, after storing it for a few days, it gets a good price. "In this way, you can make good income from 2 potato crops in a year," he said.

He plants Arun Gold and Ketu varieties of potatoes . They produce 600 quintals of potatoes at the rate of 10 quintals per town. In this way, about 1,200 quintals of potatoes are produced in a year. He has purchased a potato planter machine for planting potatoes for 4 lakh rupees and is doing the planting from it. He has earned 2 lakh rupees by renting this machine for 2 years. The Potato Drigger machine for uprooting potatoes has been provided by Agricultural Tools Research Center, Ranighat, Birgunj.

Saying that mechanization is inevitable in agriculture, Thakur bought a tractor in 2069 as the first agricultural equipment. Tractors were first introduced as tractors were needed to operate any agricultural equipment.
