Four people, including a police inspector, were injured in a clash between two sides during the road expansion in Sarlahi's Barathawa on Saturday morning. The police fired in the air and brought the situation under control.
Barathawa municipality-4, Khairatol, when two parties had a dispute over the road slope, the clash took place. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the dispute started after one party protested that the road was going to slope on private land.
District Police Chief SP Yogendra Kumar Khadka informed that after the dispute turned into a clash, the police fired one round in the air to control the situation.
Four people including police inspector Diwakar Ganesh working at the area police office, Barhathwa, were injured in the clash. Police inspector Ganesh was injured while trying to control the clash, while three other local residents were injured in the clash, the police said. The injured have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Additional police teams have been deployed at the scene from the Area Police Office, Barhathwa and the District Police Office, Malangwa. District Police Office, Sarlahi informed that the clash has been brought under control and the situation is returning to normal.
Earlier, a video of some women and men slapping a woman during road widening and slope work in Khairatol went viral on social media.
