A pregnant woman was electrocuted while charging her mobile phone in Rajpur municipality here. DSP Deepak Kumar Rai informed that the 30-year-old wife of Sheikh Safula of Rajpur Municipality-3 Damar Pokhria, Gulnaz Khatun, died of electrocution on Wednesday.

According to the police, Khatun was electrocuted while charging her mobile phone in the evening in her bedroom. He was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital Gaur for treatment, but the doctor declared him dead after an ECG examination.

She was 8 months pregnant. Khatun has three sons and one daughter. The district police said that further investigation is being done on the incident.
