State government's new plan in agriculture in grain storage

The government of Madhesh province, which has introduced the policy of 'Feed the Nation', has allocated funds in the upcoming budget for grain-related schemes to fulfill it. Under Feed the Nation, the Madhesh state government has ensured the budget to promote two rice crops.

The Madhesh state government, which has allocated 2.83 billion rupees to the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives in the upcoming budget, has also budgeted for the plan to make masina, which is connected with agriculture and farmers, self-sufficient in grains. The Madhesh government has allocated funds for processing, packaging, labeling and branding by developing and expanding Makhan farming, which has become extinct in Terai-Madhesh but has high demand in the world market.

Madhesh state government has allocated funds for the promotion, protection, development and expansion of Raithane Bali Ol, Sohijan and millet cultivation. There is also a preparation to mobilize women agricultural volunteers in all wards of Madhesh province under "Kisan ko bari, syaamsevika ko chhahari".

The budget has been allocated for the 'Chure Jogau, Madhesh Bachau' program to protect the integrated watershed for water cycle balance in Terai-Madhesh, which is suffering from the destruction of Chure. The government of Madhesh province has also allocated funds to provide immediate relief and compensation to the victims of floods, landslides and climatic disasters. Earlier, disaster-affected families had to wait years for relief.

The Madhesh government has also allocated funds to complete the work of about 500 structures that are incomplete due to lack of budget in the coming year. Sports and Social Welfare Minister Pramod Jaiswal said, "Such structures that are left behind due to the budget running out during construction become dilapidated and useless." Therefore, the work of around 500 structures will be completed next year. Budget has also been allocated for programs related to the elderly, women and girls. The budget has also been kept for the construction of modern "old age" houses in Janakpur and Birgunj and the "Beti Zindavad" program.

Similarly, the Madhesh state government has also included a 'loan card' program for industries, businesses and farmers in the budget. A separate 'start up' program in Madhesh and a feasibility study for establishing a chemical fertilizer industry with urea has also been budgeted. Millions of young people from Terai-Madhesh are working abroad in Gulf countries. A budget has been kept to deliver the bodies of workers from Madhesh province who died during foreign employment to their homes free of charge after entering Nepal.
