The accused who tried to smuggle more than eight quintals of ganja through the Koshi River in Saptari has been arrested after two and a half years. Area Police Office Bhardah arrested 35-year-old Joganand Mandal alias Budhan of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1 Bhardah in the district on Sunday night.

On the basis of secret information that Mandal was trying to smuggle ganja, the police seized eight quintals of 10 kg of ganja from the eastern island of Koshi Bhangal, 500 meters north-east from the goal at Koshi Barrage on 14th December 2079.
