Police have arrested two people on the charge of gang-raping a girl in Ramgopalpur.

Superintendent of Police Heramb Sharma of the District Police Office, Mahotari, said that after receiving information about the rape of a 14-year-old girl on Friday night, the police arrested two people and are investigating.

'On the basis of the complaint filed by the parents of the teenager, we have taken the accused into custody immediately,' Superintendent of Police Sharma said, 'The health of the teenager and the accused have been examined. According to the preliminary investigation, the condition of the scene and the medical examination, it seems that there was rape. More details will be revealed through research.'

Sharma said that the police have registered a case of coercion against the two arrested persons and are investigating further. According to the police, two persons raped her by forcing her from the road on a motorcycle and bringing her to the water industry in Ramgopalpur Municipality-4 on Friday night.
