The policy and program of the Madhesh state government for the upcoming financial year 2082/083 has been passed. On Tuesday, the policy and program was unanimously passed in the Provincial Assembly.
Last Friday, the provincial chief Sumitra Bhandari presented the annual policy and program for the year 082/083 in the provincial assembly. Four members of Parliament filed amendment proposals on the said policy and program. Jaspa MPs Ram Ashish Yadav, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Kiran Kumari and Maoist Center MP Mala Karn filed the amendment proposal. Ramashish, Kiran Kumari and Mala Karna did not withdraw the amendment proposal. These three proposals were rejected by Speaker Ramchandra Mandal by submitting a decision.
Since the Madhesh movement and the people's war were not mentioned in the policies and programs brought by the government, the amendment MPs demanded that they should be added. The amendments proposed by the parliamentarians to add the protection, development and promotion of Maithili, Bhojpuri, Bajjika, the mother tongue of the majority of the Madhes state and local level established in the
identity, and to add the construction of Kamala bridge. However, Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh said in the Parliament that the amendment proposal was not withdrawn because he did not give a satisfactory answer about those proposals.
