One person was killed in the shooting of robbers on Thursday night in Malhan village of Surunga Municipality-8 of Saptari. Around 12 o'clock in the night, a group of robbers entered the village and started looting.
While resisting, the robbers shot and killed local 50-year-old Kantlal Chaudhary . SP Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that a sharp weapon was also shot at him. "A bullet casing and three bullets have also been recovered at the scene," he said, "we have started a detailed investigation of the incident." Eyewitnesses said that when Ramakant was resisting the robbers with his brother, he was hit with a sharp weapon. He has been seriously injured and has been sent to Lahan for treatment.
SP Khatiwada said that robbers took away 50/60 thousand cash, 5 tolas of gold and 2 kg of silver.
