A special parliamentary inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the irregularities in the purchase and sale of Madhesh state government schemes. A 10-member committee was formed in the provincial assembly on Thursday.
The committee will investigate irregularities in development plans and programs in the financial year 2081/082. A parliamentary special investigation committee has been formed in accordance with 152 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly after the parliamentarians raised their voice and blocked it along with the opposition party in the Provincial Assembly. The
committee consists of MPs Keshav Rai, Kumarkant Jha, Rahbar Ansari, Kiran Kumari, Shambhu Kumar Sah, Ramita Pradhan, Kanish Patel, Urmila Singh, Vimala Ansari and Kanchan Bicha.
Earlier on Chait 27, Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal had instructed the government to form an inquiry committee. However, the committee could not be formed as the ruling party did not show interest.
The parliamentarians are alleging that there are irregularities in the plans of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Finance.
