This decision was made by the security officers of both countries at the meeting of the border district coordination committee of Nepali and Indian security officers held in Birgunj on Monday. In the meeting, the officers expressed their commitment to exchange information between the two countries to control international crime and maintain peace and security. In the
meeting, the Indian side also expressed its expectations regarding the peace and security of the upcoming assembly elections that are going to be held in Bihar in bordering India . In that, the Nepali side expressed its commitment to provide the necessary support. In the
meeting, there was also a discussion on the possible risk of covid and the precautions to be taken between the two countries . There was also a discussion on the issue of counterfeit currency, information exchange between the two sides, illegal theft and export and immigration control in the border area. In the
meeting, representatives of both countries, including customs and forest, discussed the issue of reducing possible criminal activities in the border area and protecting human resources through humanitarian action between both sides during disaster activities. In the meeting, Sirsia river pollution, control of illegal trade, human trafficking, rescue and assistance in disaster, circulation of fake currency and other issues were discussed. In the
meeting, the chief district officer of Parsa Ganesh Aryal, Prazia Vasant officer of Bara, chief of Nepal and armed police of both districts participated. District Magistrate Saurabh Jourwal of East Champaran District of India Bihar, Deputy Development Commissioner of West Champaran Sumit Kumar and officers of Indian paramilitary force SSB participated .
