One person was arrested while carrying ganja in an EV car from Bardiwas to India. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar Bhatt of the District Police Office, Mahotari, said that when the police stopped and checked a white EV car numbered 01-030 Ch 7805, which was coming from Maisthan to Gaushala, they found 40 kilograms of illegal narcotic marijuana inside 8 bags.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhatt said that 31-year-old Rangalal Sengtan of Mahottari Bardiwas 11 was arrested with black bags, zebra bags and black plastic ropes wrapped in white plastic inside the car.

The seized illegal drugs, ganja, EV car and the driver have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway at the local police office Bardiwas Mahottari.

In Mahottari, people involved in the smuggling of drugs and ganja have been arrested every day. Ganja was seized in Ramgopalpur on Friday evening and Jaleshwar on Thursday. A few days ago, the police seized 158 kg of ganja from Scorpio in Bardiwas.
