The police have arrested two people with a large quantity of marijuana from Bardibas in Mahottari. According to District Police Office Mahottari, 30 bags of ganja (total 150 kg) were seized from Bardibas Chowk under the East-West highway located in Bardibas-1.
DSP Shailendra Kumar Bhatta, District Police Office, Mahottari informed that the joint police team from Bardibas area police office under the command of Deputy Inspector Saroj Kumar Adhikari along with Narcotics Control Bureau stopped and checked the white colored Scorpio with number Ba11ch 3494 and found marijuana hidden under the back seat.
Scorpio driver Hariwan-5 of Sarlahi, 35-year-old Lalbabu Sah of Ghurkaula and 21-year-old Abhishek Periyar of Hariwan-3 who were riding in the same vehicle have been detained, police said.
Bhatt has informed that further investigation has been started after taking control of the vehicle.
