A local man was beaten up by the health minister's personal secretary while protesting against the poor work in Siraha's Golbazar municipality. 34-year-old Narayan Thakur of Golbazar Municipality-6, Dohtia was beaten up.

Thakur was beaten up by Satish Chandra Singh, the personal secretary of Madhesh Pradesh Health and Population Minister Shatrudhan Prasad Singh and UML worker Bhuwan Lama on Monday at 8:30 pm. Both people are local there.

Thakur had protested saying that the drain being constructed with a budget of Rs. According to him, the soil label was not fixed during the construction of the canal and gravel was also used in very low quantity.

He claimed that the rods used belonged to Kawadi. The work was being done by the consumer committee formed under the chairmanship of local UML worker Shyam Kumar Yadav with the involvement of Singh and others. Thakur immediately informed the relevant authorities about this.

15 minutes after complaining, personal secretary Singh called Thakur and called him to the construction site and abused him, Bhuvan Lama and others, the victim said.

Thakur has injuries on his stomach, back and head due to the beating. After informing the police, he reached the hospital on Monday evening and is currently undergoing treatment. "There is an internal injury after being punched," he said. "I didn't beat him, but I saved him," says Singh, "It's not that big of a deal, it keeps happening."
