Medicines worth about 13 lakhs imported from India seized

The police have seized a large quantity of medicine from India, which was being smuggled from India, from Bindwasini Rural Municipality-4 Madhwal on Monday.

Drugs worth 12 lakh 78 thousand 520 rupees were recovered from India through a road section located in Madhwal, Bindwasini rural municipality-4, which was smuggled from India in a pick-up No. 5 Ch 2483.

The police team deployed from the district police office has detained 24-year-old Sunil Kumar Ram of Bara Jitpur Simra sub-metropolitan city-5 along with the vehicle. 

Parsa police spokesperson DSP Kishore Lamsal informed that the medicine loaded in the vehicle did not have a bill of lading and was handed over to Birganj Customs Office for further investigation and action.
