Five people have been arrested from Siraha with a large quantity of cash and drugs. They were arrested from different places during the operation of the special team of Siraha police. Out of which, the largest amount of money and drugs were recovered from brothers and sisters of Lahan Municipality-22 Labtoli.

More than 55 lakh rupees and 200 grams of brown sugar have been recovered from Dinesh Kumar Yadav, 32 years old, and his sister Kiran Kumari Yadav, 26 years old.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police Anantaram Sharma of District Police Office, Siraha, at 7:00 pm last Friday, when they were checked while they were traveling on a Pulsar motorcycle number 5 P 6927, only 21 grams of brown sugar, 51 thousand 450 rupees and two mobile phones were recovered from them.

However, when the police searched the rooms of their house, an additional 180 grams of brown sugar, 54 lakh 14 thousand 285 Nepali rupees and 35 thousand 780 Indian rupees were seized. In this way, a total of 55 lakh 22 thousand 983 rupees in cash, 201 grams of brown sugar, one digital scale and 6 mobile phones were recovered from them, according to Siraha police.

According to the police, they were dealing in drugs professionally. According to the Siraha police, after registering a case against them for drug-related offences, Siraha District Court has taken a 7-day deadline and is conducting a detailed investigation. Out of this, Dinesh was arrested earlier on July 12, 2080 with 3.6 grams of brown sugar and was released on March 5, 2080 after paying six months in prison.

Similarly, the police has arrested another person with illegal money whose source is not disclosed. 45-year-old Sanjay Karak of Sirha Municipality-17 was arrested on Saturday afternoon from Sirha-2 Mahavir Chowk with Rs.16 lakh 38 thousand 370. According to the police, the money was recovered from him when he was checked based on the information that he was involved in the hundi business. Superintendent of Police Sharma informed that he is also being investigated with a 6-day deadline from the court.

Similarly, two other people from Siraha have also been arrested with the drug brown sugar. Police arrested 20-year-old Krishna Kumar Yadav and 19-year-old Niraj Rai of Aurhi rural municipality-3 with 710 milligrams of brown sugar. Police said that they were arrested from Bariyarpatti rural municipality-3 on Saturday. Superintendent of Police Sharma announced these five people in a press conference on Sunday and said that Siraha police has adopted zero tolerance towards drugs and illegal transactions.
