The Yadav family of Bodebersine Municipality-1 Dhangadhi of Saptari, who got justice from the court, have been beaten and threatened by their neighbors.

Sujandevi Yadav's daughters 16-year-old Ambika Kumari and 14-year-old Lalithakumari were beaten last Wednesday. Sujandevi has been treating both of them seriously injured at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital Rajviraj for 6 days . Although the doctor suggested to do a 'city scan', the treatment was stopped due to equipment breakdown in the hospital.

"All the money has been spent on treatment, there is no money to go to another hospital and get a 'city scan'," said 55-year-old Sujandevi, "There is no one to earn money at home. Ever since the court verdict was in our favor, the neighbors have been beating us, they had beaten us twice before."

Earlier, when she was beaten up, she sat panchayati at police station Siswa Belhi and did not stop beating them even when they were fined . According to him, the neighbors are Shambhu Mandal's wife Somnidevi, her daughters Rambha and Anita, self. Medi Mandal's wife Gujridevi, daughter-in-law Aarti and granddaughter Radhika and Ram Udgar and his wife Lakshmi Mandal have beaten their daughters . "The police rescued him and admitted him to the hospital. They said that other things will happen after he returns from treatment, but we are having trouble getting treatment," she said. Medi Mandal had filed a case related to 'Kichola metai ghar utai challan' in the Saptari district court with Sujan Devi's husband Khushilal as the opponent. Judge Tejnarayan Poudel ruling on the case on 26 June 2072 decided that the plaintiffs (Shambhu and Medi) will not be entitled until the house in the 8 Dhur village block land of Lot No. 167 is demolished or removed. Sujandevi says that after the verdict, they started beating and threatening to evict them from there.

Ward President Ravindra Kumar Sah said that although information about the beating was received, it could not be clarified. "It is wrong to beat under any pretext," he said, "I will take the initiative to find a solution after understanding more."

Saptari SP Dhakendra Khatiwada said that he has instructed the area police office Bodebarsine to take the attacker under control and proceed with the legal process. "After taking control, we will proceed with further legal process," he said.
