Illegal extortion has been found to be taking place openly in Saptari District Court premises. In the video clip received by Kantipur, officials of the Saptari District Court Bar Association can be seen making illegal extortion.
The district court had called for applications for the certificate of accounting professionals on May 24. It is said that the applicant has to pay a fee of 110 rupees. However, it is clear in the video that Neelam Kumari Yadav, treasurer of the Bar Association, is demanding Rs 5,100 from the applicant.
Treasurer Yadav is sitting in the hall of the bar in the court premises and collecting money. "If you fill the application, you have to pay 5 thousand 110 rupees," she said in the video. But, she said that she will not give the receipt.
In the application called by the court, Subba Lalankumar Karna, deputy of the court, has been designated as the contact person . However, he does not give the form to the applicant.
The Court's Srestedar Krishna Prasad Adhikari said that the legal fee is only 110 rupees. "I have heard that they will do the work from conducting the exam to checking the answer sheet and giving the certificate. It requires a little money, but they should not take that much money," he said, "That is wrong, we will correct it."
Bar Association President Kameshwar Yadav accepted the matter of collecting money. "The law doesn't give it, but there is something practical too, don't meet and talk." Where does everything happen on the phone,' he said.
