The police have arrested one person from the Nepal-India border at Birganj on the charge of being involved in human trafficking and smuggling. The arrested person is 24-year-old Rojan Bhujel of Dhading Galchi Rural Municipality-2.
He was arrested by the police checking team from Enrwa police station on the road section of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality-16 Shankaracharya Gate around 6:30 pm on Monday. 2 girls who were going from Nepal to India were stopped and interrogated in the presence of relatives and staff from Nepal. During that time, Bhujel, who was with the girls, lured them to work in garment factories of Hetaunda and Birganj with the intention of selling them, so Bhujel was taken into custody.
