The armed police have seized customs evasion goods worth 15 lakh 60 thousand and handed them over to Birgunj customs office. On Friday, a team deployed under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Lokendra Subba from the proposed border security Gulm Birgunj, Nepal, recovered the item from the road in front of Birgunj Pathshala in Birgunj Municipal-24 Ramgarhwa.

480 boxes of multi-vitamins and multi-minerals capsules packed in 10 cartons illegally smuggled from India to evade customs have been seized. Na 2 S 1017 was loaded in the auto and the auto with the capsule was taken into custody, the auto driver, 36-year-old Amrit Sah Kanu of Sirsia village, district Birganj Manpa-25, and 2 motorcycles involved in the act were also taken into custody.  DSP Devendra Bahadur Singh, Spokesperson of the Armed Police Parsa informed that the auto and motorcycle worth Rs 6 lakh and capsules worth Rs 960,000 along with medicines worth 15 lakh 60 thousand were taken into custody and handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for action.
