Residents of Saptari's Rajviraj municipality have started protest again demanding to get the red portion of Bitauri and village block land.
They held a press conference at Gajendra Chowk on Tuesday and said that they were forced to protest again as their demands were not fulfilled.
They closed the Rajviraj market on February 17, demanding eight points. The next day, after a meeting attended by people's representatives and representatives of political parties, there was a commitment to form a committee to address the demand, they postponed the protest program.
However, the coordinator of the negotiation committee, Ersad Ansari, said that there has been no initiative so far. According to him, on 18th of Baisakh, they will hang black flags in houses and shops, on 19th, they will start a campaign to collect signatures in favor of the demand at Gajendra Chowk, on 21st, they will sit at Napi Rajviraj office and on 22nd, they will sit for 1 hour at municipal office.
They have demanded that the Rajviraj bus park should be started immediately along with Lalpurja, the construction of the commercial complex in Hatia should be started, and the land in the Khando river embankment area should be surveyed.
Similarly, they have also demanded that there should be a quarantine arrangement for pesticide testing of food items at the border, spraying of anti-mosquito drugs in urban areas and the opening of small customs offices which have been closed for years.
According to them, 5,200 families who have been living on the right and left sides of the main road and internal roads in the city area for years, have been deprived of raising loans by placing mortgages in banks and financial institutions when they need, due to lack of spare parts.
