Prahrilad Adhikari of Sarlahi Lalbandi continues to visit Transport Management Office Birganj once in 2/3 months. He got a driver's license almost a year ago and had to keep going to Birganj to get a smart driving license card.
Currently working in Saptari, he says that he had to take leave from his office to come to Birgunj. But every time I have to be disappointed . "Smart license is rare," he said.
He said that the employees of the transport office only give the answer that their license has not been printed yet. "Every time you come, you get the answer that your license has not been printed yet," he said, "What kind of license is it that is not printed even within a year." Many customers like the
officer come to the transport department daily looking for their smart license and return disappointed. There are also customers who have been waiting for smart license for 3 years. Kusheshwar Sah, head of the
office, says that they cannot do anything until the smart license is printed from the center. "We will only do the work of giving the cable license," he said.
From time to time, the license printing machine also breaks down, so there is more delay in the printing process, he said . Sah asserted that since the preparation for printing such licenses in the province is underway from the next financial year, there will be no delay in printing smart licenses as at present. "After starting printing in the province, there may not be a delay like now," he said.
