The businessmen have been hit after the bricks prepared for burning are not working. Mohan Sah, Secretary of Rautahat Brick Producers Association said that 42 brick industries operating across the district have been damaged by hail. Most of the brick industries are closing due to the economic recession. Natural calamities never stop,' he said, 'if the damage continues like this, the industry cannot be operated.'
According to Secretary Shah, about one and a half lakh raw bricks kept in sheaths for burning in 42 brick industries across the district have been damaged by hail. He said that if its value is added, it will be around 50 million.
Brick businessman Sheikh Asab said that the raw bricks were rendered unusable by hail. "If the entire brick gets even a little bit stained, it will not look good when cooking," he said, "Nowadays, customers are looking for good and clean bricks."
Most of the industries in the district have started closing after the bricks stopped being sold due to economic recession. The secretary of the association informed that out of 166 furnaces, only 42 are in operation.
