A girl died after drowning in a canal at Mirchaiya in Siraha. Asika Safi, one and a half year old daughter of Kisun Safi in Mirchaiya Municipality-5, died.

He was found dead in an open drain near the house on Saturday morning, according to the local police office, Mirchaiya. According to the police, further investigation is underway in connection with the incident.

Earlier in Mirchaiya-5 on 16th November 2081, a local 24-year-old Rajina Devi Mahato drowned in the canal.
