The district administration office Parsa has lifted the prohibition order imposed in the Birganj metropolitan area from Friday morning.
The District Security Committee meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal has decided to lift the prohibitory order from 7:00 am today as the peace and security situation in Birgunj is normal.
'According to Section 6(3A) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, it has been decided to remove the prohibition order in some areas of Birganj metropolis from 1st Baisakh with effect from 7:00 am today.' It is said in the decision of the District Security Committee .
Prohibition orders were issued after curfew in different parts of the metropolis after clashes in the procession held on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti last Saturday.
