Locals protested after the naming of Gaushala-Samsi road. Locals protested after Gaushala Municipality decided to keep the road under Hulaki Road as 'Gore Bahadur Khapangi Marg' from the winter session.

Locals have demanded immediate cancellation of the decision saying that the local government is trying to spoil the social harmony by giving a new name to the well-known road as Gaushala Road. In the Gaushala market, the youth symbolically protested and said that if the decision made by the municipality is not revoked, they will protest strongly.

Local LOSPA leader Pramod Mahato protested the Gaushala municipality's naming of the road and accused the local government of trying to spoil communal harmony by naming the road. "The local government, which cannot build a new road and name it, is only trying to create a dispute by naming the road built by the federal government," leader Mahato said, "Gore Bahadur Khapangi is a respectable person". However, there is no situation to name the road after him. It is sad that the representative of the municipality should build a highway in the name of a person to increase his vote.

Gaushala activist Indal Raut, who protested against street naming, accused the local government of erasing the identity of Gaushala market and municipality. Raut demanded that the decision be corrected immediately as it was wrong to name the road known as Gaushala Road after a person. 

The local youth protested by writing slogans such as 'The name of Gaushala Road cannot be changed', 'Maintain the Gaushala-Samsi road', 'Cancel Gore Bahadur Khapangi Marg named by the local level' and others.
