Anandi Saday death case: A three-member inquiry committee led by SSP has been formed

An inquiry committee has been formed regarding the death case of 24-year-old Anandi Saday of Donwari tol located in Navrajpur rural municipality-3 of Siraha. Madhesh Pradesh Police Office, Janakpur has constituted an investigation committee under the leadership of SSP.

DIG Lalamani Acharya informed that a three-member investigation committee was formed under the leadership of SSP Shantiraj Koirala on Wednesday and the work started from Thursday.

DIG Acharya informed that this committee will focus on whether there is any mistake or weakness of the police along with other aspects of the incident. "It has been said that there is a weakness of the police, it has taken time to register the case," he said. "After the committee submits its report, we will study it," he said, "if it is police brutality, action will be taken." Before that, on December 9, 22-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Yadav and 32-year-old Shyamsunder Yadav of the village attempted to gang-rape her.

However, on the same day, despite filing a complaint at the local police office, Maheshpur Patar, the accused party and the police also pressured the victim to meet in the village. When the police did not listen, the victim's family prepared to go to the media, and after a month and a half, his complaint was registered on February 25.

However, even though the case was registered, the police was reluctant to arrest the accused. The accused have not been arrested yet.
