Anandi Saday Incident: Preparing to lodge a complaint against the accused and the locals along with the police trying to settle the incident

In the case of sexual abuse and death of 24-year-old Anandi Devi Saday of Jagatpur Donwari tol located in Navrajpur rural municipality-3 of Siraha, a complaint has been filed against the accused and the local people trying to settle the incident.

The victim's family has prepared to file a complaint against 22-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, 32-year-old Shyamsunder Yadav, who is accused of sexual abuse, and the father of both accused who tried to settle the incident in the village, the local people and the police. A case has been registered with the police against both accused of sexual abuse.

Now preparations are being made to file two more charges against Sanjeev's father Upendra Yadav, Shyamsunder's father Shivdutt Yadav, local Narendra Yadav and chief police inspector of Maheshpur Patar, Ravinraj Mainali and the police of the area.

According to Sunil Sada, the spokesperson of the Nepal National Musahar Association, there is a discussion between the victims and the leaders of the Dalits about filing a complaint against them under the title of incitement to suicide and collusion. He said that after the discussion, they will proceed with the legal process.

'This incident is no longer just sexual abuse, the victim has been forced to commit suicide,' he told Kantipur, 'We are discussing with the victim's family and lawyers, then we will move forward.' Before that, 22-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Yadav and 32-year-old Shyamsunder Yadav of the village attempted to gang-rape her on January 9.

However, even though a complaint was filed at the local police office, Maheshpur Patar on the same day, the accused party and the police forced the victim to meet in the village. When the police did not listen, the victim's family prepared to go to the media, and after a month and a half, their complaint was registered on February 25.

However, despite the case being registered, the police was reluctant to arrest the accused. They have not been arrested yet. Anandi was found dead after four months of wandering without getting justice.
